Cynder and Ember were never the closest friends. In fact, they weren't friends. They were arch enemies because of one reason.
Spyro.

Before Spyro ever met Cynder, he so happened to ... bumped into Ember in Avalar. Love at first sight for Ember, she just absolutely adored Spyro for his looks as well as his bravery for saving the world from Malefor. Until Spyro went on a trip to destroy Malefor, did he met Cynder.

Yes, Cynder was Malefor's dark servant, but as soon as Malefor was defeated and Spyro told her how much he cared for her, she pretty much knocked out her dark self and joined
Spyro to save the world.

Spyro and Cynder were like the perfect couple, they liked each other, helped each other in combat and comforted each other. It was like... a dream come true for them.

However, when Spyro brought back Cynder to Avalar, Ember, who was bounding forward to meet him, stopped in her tracks as she saw Cynder. At that very moment, Cynder and Ember hated each other, on the first day, they started fighting with each other! Time after time, Cynder and Ember would fight each time they saw each other with Spyro. For all they cared, they could fight to the death for Spyro.

Spyro, however got sick and tired of their endless efforts to try and get him and vowed with the guardians, Cynder and Ember's parents as well as himself, that they would spank them when they got too far.

Spyro was the first, which was kind of obvious as Cynder or Ember was always stalking
Spyro for they love him with all their hearts. But what Spyro never understood was they always seem to plan stalking him together. The moment he saw Cynder and Ember fighting with each other, Cynder was dealing critical damage, he dragged the two flailing dragons and started spanking them with his tail. They cried but they kept on fighting.

The next few people were their parents as they always stomped home, their face so moody and they yelled at their parents that the adults, reluctantly, spanked their daughters so hard, that when their butts just touch the seat, they start wincing with pain. But still they persisted and carried on to following Spyro.

That was when the guardians came in that day.

Cynder and Ember were fighting once again, lashing out their claws and tails while they breathed out fire to each other. Cynder spat a poison ball at Ember but dodged it in the nick of time as it splatter behind an old tree, which resulted in the poison infiltrating the tree, and within seconds, the tree was dead.

Spyro was watching them, now annoyed that they could NEVER stop fighting, gathered up his bravery and walked right in front of them, holding out his paws in front of Cynder and
Ember's face.

"WHY CAN'T YOU GUYS STOP FIGHTING! IS THIE SOME KIND OF STUPID JOKE?! FOLLOWING ME AROUND, STALKING ME AND FIGHTING JUST BECAUSE YOU LOVE ME?! WHY DON'T YOU JUST STOP FIGHTING!" Spyro had finally let go of his irritableness and anger.

Ember and Cynder just scowled at each other and Ember tried to injure Cynder using her sharp claws. Unfortunately, it ended up hitting Spyro and it was a very strong hit. He flew backwards to the dead tree and hit the tree hard. He then slide down the tree, unconscious.

Ember, who's paw flew to her mouth when she had slapped Spyro, raced to see the
unconscious dragon but was stopped by Cynder who had a menacing look in her eye.

"Do you think that I'm going to let you go any closer to Spyro, you little pink piece of
filth?" Cynder said silkily, walking closer to her.

"Get out of the way, you ashy female or I'll burn you to death." Ember snarled.

"Make me bastard." Cynder said staring straight into Ember's pupils.
